Current Fiscal Partner
Acterra currently provides fiscal sponsorship for the following groups:
The Alliance of Regional Collaboratives for Climate Adaptation (ARCCA) is a network of leading regional collaboratives and allies from across California that work together to advance adaptation statewide and increase local capacity to build community resilience. Through ARCCA, adaptation practitioners connect with peers across the state to exchange knowledge, engage in targeted problem-solving, and implement joint campaigns, effectively breaking down silos across sectors and jurisdictions.
The Bay Area Climate Adaptation Network (BayCAN) is a collaborative network of local government staff and partnering organizations working to help the Bay Area region to respond effectively and equitably to the impacts of climate change.
Developed by local government, for local government and the communities they serve, BayCAN focuses on adaptation challenges in water supply, sea level rise, wastewater and stormwater management, wildfires, ecosystems, and public health. We collaborate with current initiatives in these sectors to maximize impact and build on existing knowledge.
Ecolarium is envisioned as a collaborative, comprehensive, and multipurpose learning and action center that will support strategic stakeholder partnerships and allow for large-scale public engagement and climate adaptation.
The Bioma Project is a non profit organization aimed to change how environmental education is taught by providing hands-on interactive lessons plans to students. We make sure our curriculums are based around real world applications and projects and are localized for students. We make use of a variety of new technologies such as Virtual Reality and aquaculture labs, to enhance the learning experience for students.
The Let Us Contribute Initiative (LUCI) is a movement-building project led by incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people to create economic opportunity and improve public safety. LUCI's coalition is working to foster ecologically-focused cooperatives run by and for systems-impacted individuals.
