Woodside Electric Garden Program
Electric Garden Voucher Program for eligible residents, businesses & Property owners in woodside*
The application will open on February 18.
The Town of Woodside, in collaboration with Acterra, is pleased to announce the launch of an E-Garden Voucher Program! Starting February 18, eligible residents and businesses in Woodside can access vouchers to purchase cutting-edge and eco-friendly electric garden tools at selected retail centers.
Eligible residents can receive vouchers of up to $250 to use toward the purchase of any electric garden equipment. Non-gardening businesses can receive vouchers up to $250, but these can only be used for the purchase of electric leaf blowers. Gardening businesses and property owners with parcels of 5 acres or more may qualify for vouchers up to $1,000, redeemable for a range of electric garden tools, including leaf blowers, hedge trimmers, chainsaws, lawnmowers, and more. This program is designed to support Woodside's goal of fostering a cleaner, quieter, and more sustainable community.
Acterra is proud to be working with the Town of Woodside to distribute electric gardening vouchers. Funding for this program comes from the Town of Woodside through a grant provided by Peninsula Clean Energy.
Funds are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, and applicants must provide proof of eligibility, such as proof of residency, business license, or parcel size, depending on the category.
Program's Eligibility
Woodside Residents: Up to $250
- for new purchase of electric gardening equipment that includes: leaf blower, hedge trimmer, string trimmer, chainsaw or walk behind lawnmower.
- Rebate can cover up to 100% of the purchase price of equipment, but would not exceed $250 in total per address per year.
- Must provide proof of current residency within the incorporated Town limits of Woodside.
Non-Gardening Businesses: Up to $250
- for newly purchased electric leaf blower for a brick-and-mortar business within the incorporated Town limits of Woodside.
- Rebate can cover up to 100% of the purchase price of equipment, but would not exceed $250 in total per address per year.
- Shopping centers are considered one address and requires property owner to apply.

Professional Gardeners/ Landscapers & Property Owners with Parcels 5 Acres+: Up to $1,000
- for new purchase of electric gardening equipment that includes: leaf blower, hedge trimmer, string trimmer, chainsaw or walk behind lawnmower, includes extra batteries or power management system.
- Professional gardeners/landscapers working in Woodside/Property Owners with Parcels 5 Acres or More are eligible to apply.
- Rebate can cover up to 100% of the purchase price of equipment, but would not exceed $1,000 per business/gardener/property owner per year.
- Must have a current Business License with the Town of Woodside and 100 employees or less with customers in Woodside.
- For Property Owners, must provide address or APN numbers to confirm parcel size.
