The curricula are available in English and Spanish to ensure accessibility for diverse classrooms.
The programming and enrichment enable students to:
- Understand the fundamentals of climate change science and its impacts around them.
- Demonstrate written, visual, and oral presentation skills to communicate scientific knowledge.
- Investigate air quality to learn how pollutants travel, how air quality is measured, and who is most affected by poor air conditions.
- Explore environmental justice to understand how historical and systemic inequities influence exposure to environmental hazards and access to clean resources.
- Critically analyze environmental information in the media by discerning reliable sources and effectively communicating environmental stories through writing, visuals, and digital media.
